insidePOLICY
insidePOLICY is the Pennsylvania Business Council's in-depth look at topics of public policy that are key to improving the Commonwealth's competitiveness. Each edition focuses on a single area of public policy offering analysis of policy proposals, news of measures taken by other states and nations, examples of public policy "best practices," and case studies of the impact of public policy on member firms. Articles are aggregated from many sources including other Pennsylvania business associations, member firms, and other interest groups. This ePublication is distributed to more than 1200 businesses leaders, Pennsylvania's 253 state lawmakers, 21 member Congressional delegation, the Governor's Office and Cabinet, and the the media. Because insidePOLICY is published electronically, it also acts a portal to related content. If a study, survey, or research paper is cited in an article, there is generally a hypertext link to the source material. Policymakers and their staff are encouraged to use insidePOLICY to supplement their research efforts. insidePOLICY is published in alternating months (beginning spring 2009). What are priorities and desired policy outcomes of the business community?
What have policymakers done recently in regard to these priorities?
What are the grassroots messages and tools being provided to the business community to impact the actions of policymakers?
