MORE INFORMED POLITICS THROUGH PBC's AFFILIATED PEG PAC
PEG PAC
PEG PAC is the affiliated political action committee of the Pennsylvania Business Council and the successor to Pennsylvanians for Effective Government (PEG) Political Committee – Pennsylvania’s first and largest pro-business political action committee formed in 1972.
PEG – and now PEG PAC since the merger with the Pennsylvania Business Roundtable to form the Pennsylvania Business Council – is widely known for its campaign expertise, intelligence, and analysis. PEG PAC staff provide nearly 100 briefings each year to trade associations, corporate PAC boards, chambers of commerce, government affairs managers, the public and media. The weekly pegALERT may well be Pennsylvania’s most read political newsletter. PCN relies on PEG PAC for election night returns and broadcasts live from PEG PAC offices.
PEG PAC endorses, and supports pro-business candidates for state government office. PEG PAC’s decision not to endorse any candidate does not mean that the candidates are deemed equally qualified. PEG PAC gets involved only in races where the organization can make a real difference. PEG PAC doesn’t engage in contests it can’t win and doesn’t back those who are sure to win without PEG PAC’s help. PEG PAC provides candidates with a mix of campaign contributions, professional consulting, demographic data, policy research, grass roots support, media exposure, information technology, and paid campaign staff. The PEG PAC solicits and accepts personal and PAC contributions to support pro-business candidates. Most PBC members contribute to the PEG PAC through the PEG PAC’s Annual Dinner.
PEG PAC solicits personal and PAC contributions to support its work. Corporate contributions are not permissible by law. Contributions are not tax-deductible.
